Commercial or Real Estate Litigation

As the name implies, this is simply another category of a civil lawsuit.  When people or corporations enter into business or industry agreements, legally enforceable rights and obligations are created that are ruled by the contracts or the understandings that form the basis of the relationship.  Many of those relationships, like those involving money, banking or finance, are governed by particular pieces of legislation.  The actions committed or contemplated by those people or companies must comply with the governing legislation.   Real estate transactions, whether simple home purchases and sales or whether complex land transactions, are also governed by legislation.  Disputes arising out of such transactions can be resolved by civil action, arbitration or mediation – or some combination of those alternatives.  Everyone contemplating such dealings should consult with a properly qualified legal expert, and others where appropriate, before entering into legal commitments.  And if a dispute arises between the parties, we can be hired as an advocate for one party of another.  Or we can be hired to arbitrate or mediate the dispute between the parties as discussed in “Mediation and/or Arbitration”.
